Crisis Response and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)
NCTS facilitators understand the impact of trauma caused by violence, accidents, death, injury, illness and suicide on workplaces and employees. We also recognize that there are different levels and approaches to responding to traumatic incidents.
NCTS provides trained Crisis Response and CISM facilitators for on and off-site interventions that address critical incidents and implement safety/stabilization plans. NCTS assists with debriefing employees in the event of worksite accidents, deaths or trauma, or the loss of employees through an illness.
NCTS facilitators also help organizations to establish internal resources to encourage peer-to-peer interventions and support. This approach acknowledges that employees are often first responders to emergency incidents in the workplace, and as such works with employee's strengths to support his or her peers. This program also includes an initial assessment of employee abilities, followed by comprehensive peer helping training and self-care exercises.
